# XCMania vs Aufwind Glider Tracker

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Aufwind Glider Tracker at 75% against XCMania's 33%. Aufwind Glider Tracker also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). XCMania's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. XCMania sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Aufwind Glider Tracker asks for nothing beyond the download.

XCMania holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Aufwind Glider Tracker has 100 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of XCMania's written reviews are positive against 75% of Aufwind Glider Tracker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

XCMania ships an update every 3 weeks, Aufwind Glider Tracker weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
