# XCMania vs Volandoo Tracker

XCMania and Volandoo Tracker both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 75% of Volandoo Tracker's written reviews are positive against 33% of XCMania's. XCMania's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.6). On price, rating, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. XCMania sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Volandoo Tracker sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

XCMania holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 7 and 3 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of XCMania's written reviews are positive against 75% of Volandoo Tracker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

XCMania ships an update every 3 weeks, Volandoo Tracker monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
