# Keys for Safari vs Vimlike

The clearest difference is price: Vimlike at Free against Keys for Safari's $1.99. Vimlike also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (30 vs 2). Keys for Safari's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On review sentiment, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Vimlike is free to download; Keys for Safari costs $1.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Keys for Safari holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Vimlike has 30 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 81% of Keys for Safari's written reviews are positive against 85% of Vimlike's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Keys for Safari ships an update every 5 months, Vimlike every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
