# GPS SKY vs RC FPV

The clearest difference is rating: RC FPV at 2.4 against GPS SKY's 1.1. RC FPV also leads on ratings volume (501 vs 7). GPS SKY's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

RC FPV holds the better App Store score, 2.4 against 1.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RC FPV has 501 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of GPS SKY's written reviews are positive against 18% of RC FPV's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

GPS SKY ships an update every 5 weeks, RC FPV every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
