# Engross vs AffirmLock

The clearest difference is monetization model: Engross at free with in-app purchases against AffirmLock's subscription. Engross also leads on ratings volume (46 vs 1). AffirmLock's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Engross sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and AffirmLock sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AffirmLock holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Engross has 46 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Engross ships an update every 4 weeks, AffirmLock fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
