# Engross vs Akora

The clearest difference is ads: Engross at none against Akora's shown. Akora's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 4 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Engross sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Akora sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Engross ships an update every 4 weeks, Akora every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
