# CloudDVR vs Boop

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Boop at 100% against CloudDVR's 13%. Boop also leads on rating (5.0 vs 2.6) and update cadence (weekly vs monthly). CloudDVR's advantage is ratings volume (25 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Boop holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CloudDVR has 25 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 13% of CloudDVR's written reviews are positive against 100% of Boop's.

CloudDVR ships an update monthly, Boop weekly. Both last shipped on October 16, 2026.
