# Transact Mobile Ordering vs BAR

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Transact Mobile Ordering at 63K against BAR's 1. Transact Mobile Ordering also leads on chart position (#104 vs unranked) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). BAR's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BAR holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Transact Mobile Ordering has 63K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Transact Mobile Ordering ships an update every 2 months, BAR fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
