# Danby vs Homvana

The clearest difference is rating: Danby at 2.3 against Homvana's 2.0. Danby also leads on ratings volume (81 vs 8). Homvana's advantage is update cadence (every 3 months vs every 13 months) and review sentiment (33% vs 17%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Danby holds the better App Store score, 2.3 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Danby has 81 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 17% of Danby's written reviews are positive against 33% of Homvana's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Danby ships an update every 13 months, Homvana every 3 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
