# PVMS Pro vs PHOENIX +

The clearest difference is update cadence: PHOENIX + at every 5 days against PVMS Pro's every 5 months. PVMS Pro's advantage is iOS requirement (8.0 vs 12.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

PVMS Pro ships an update every 5 months, PHOENIX + every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
