# GetOut vs TechniColorLighting

The clearest difference is rating: GetOut at 4.6 against TechniColorLighting's 3.0. GetOut also leads on ratings volume (1K vs 2) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months). TechniColorLighting's advantage is monetization model (free vs paid). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

GetOut holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GetOut has 1K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of GetOut's written reviews are positive against 50% of TechniColorLighting's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

GetOut ships an update every 2 months, TechniColorLighting every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
