# Focus Lock vs offtime

The clearest difference is rating: offtime at 5.0 against Focus Lock's 4.3. Focus Lock's advantage is ratings volume (290 vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Focus Lock sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and offtime sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

offtime holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Focus Lock has 290 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Focus Lock ships an update every 2 weeks, offtime every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
