# Recurrence vs Progrex

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Progrex at none against Recurrence's 3. Progrex also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). Recurrence's advantage is ratings volume (327 vs 4). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Recurrence sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Progrex asks for nothing beyond the download.

Recurrence holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Recurrence has 327 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Recurrence ships an update every 3 weeks, Progrex every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
