# Recurrence vs Simple To Do List & Checklist

The clearest difference is rating: Recurrence at 4.7 against Simple To Do List & Checklist's 3.7. Recurrence also leads on ratings volume (327 vs 7). Simple To Do List & Checklist's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 83%) and update cadence (every 8 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Recurrence sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Simple To Do List & Checklist sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Recurrence holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Recurrence has 327 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of Recurrence's written reviews are positive against 100% of Simple To Do List & Checklist's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Recurrence ships an update every 3 weeks, Simple To Do List & Checklist every 8 days. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
