# Recurrence vs Checklists

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Recurrence at 326 against Checklists's 2. Recurrence also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months) and rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Recurrence sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Checklists sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Recurrence holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Recurrence has 326 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of Recurrence's written reviews are positive against 89% of Checklists's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Recurrence ships an update every 3 weeks, Checklists every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
