# Recurrence vs Well

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Recurrence at 325 against Well's 2. Recurrence also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). Well's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Recurrence sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Well sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Well holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Recurrence has 325 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Recurrence ships an update every 3 weeks, Well every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
