# SMART vs Vastfit

The clearest difference is rating: SMART at 4.5 against Vastfit's 2.7. SMART also leads on ratings volume (1.4K vs 25) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). Vastfit's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 12) and ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SMART sells 12 one-off in-app purchases. Vastfit asks for nothing beyond the download.

SMART holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SMART has 1.4K ratings behind it against 25, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 19% of SMART's written reviews are positive against 20% of Vastfit's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SMART ships an update monthly, Vastfit every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
