# VidMix Video Editor vs VSDC

The clearest difference is rating: VidMix Video Editor at 4.4 against VSDC's 3.9. VidMix Video Editor also leads on ratings volume (403 vs 16) and device support (3 vs 1). VSDC's advantage is review sentiment (76% vs 67%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VidMix Video Editor sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and VSDC sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VidMix Video Editor holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VidMix Video Editor has 403 ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of VidMix Video Editor's written reviews are positive against 76% of VSDC's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
