# Max Amini vs Jester

The clearest difference is monetization model: Jester at ad-supported against Max Amini's subscription. Jester also leads on ratings volume (42 vs 2). Max Amini's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Max Amini holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Jester has 42 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.
