# VPN Proxy Utility vs Goose VPN

The clearest difference is rating: VPN Proxy Utility at 4.5 against Goose VPN's 4.0. VPN Proxy Utility also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (340 vs 4). Goose VPN's advantage is review sentiment (98% vs 71%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN Proxy Utility sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Goose VPN sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VPN Proxy Utility holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN Proxy Utility has 340 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of VPN Proxy Utility's written reviews are positive against 98% of Goose VPN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

VPN Proxy Utility ships an update monthly, Goose VPN every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 22, 2026.
