# FieldEvents vs HyNote

The clearest difference is ratings volume: HyNote at 7.7K against FieldEvents's 7. HyNote also leads on chart position (#125 vs unranked). FieldEvents's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 77%). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FieldEvents sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $14.99 per year and HyNote sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for FieldEvents against 4.8 for HyNote. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HyNote has 7.7K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of FieldEvents's written reviews are positive against 77% of HyNote's.

FieldEvents ships an update every 9 days, HyNote weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
