# Minute Notes vs Folded Notes

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Minute Notes at none against Folded Notes's 1. Folded Notes's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 40 months) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Folded Notes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Minute Notes asks for nothing beyond the download.

Minute Notes ships an update every 40 months, Folded Notes every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on September 14, 2026 and September 19, 2026 respectively.
