# ChoirMate vs Notation

The clearest difference is update cadence: Notation at every 4 days against ChoirMate's every 8 days. ChoirMate's advantage is device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 26.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ChoirMate sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month and Notation sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ChoirMate ships an update every 8 days, Notation every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 8, 2026 respectively.
