# Big Clock vs SimpleClock

The clearest difference is rating: SimpleClock at 5.0 against Big Clock's 4.0. SimpleClock also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 68%) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Big Clock's advantage is ratings volume (700 vs 3). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Big Clock sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and SimpleClock sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SimpleClock holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Big Clock has 700 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 68% of Big Clock's written reviews are positive against 100% of SimpleClock's.

Big Clock ships an update every 4 weeks, SimpleClock every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
