# Big Clock vs Clock Pocket

The clearest difference is monetization model: Big Clock at free with in-app purchases against Clock Pocket's subscription. Big Clock also leads on ratings volume (700 vs 42). Clock Pocket's advantage is review sentiment (78% vs 68%) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Big Clock sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Clock Pocket sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.0 for Big Clock against 4.1 for Clock Pocket. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Big Clock has 700 ratings behind it against 42, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 68% of Big Clock's written reviews are positive against 78% of Clock Pocket's.

Big Clock ships an update every 4 weeks, Clock Pocket fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
