# RSFun vs Gold Rush City

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: RSFun at none against Gold Rush City's 11. RSFun also leads on review sentiment (19% vs 10%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). Gold Rush City's advantage is rating (3.4 vs 2.9) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). On price, ratings volume, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Gold Rush City sells 11 one-off in-app purchases. RSFun asks for nothing beyond the download.

Gold Rush City holds the better App Store score, 3.4 against 2.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 63 and 35 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 19% of RSFun's written reviews are positive against 10% of Gold Rush City's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

RSFun ships an update every 3 months, Gold Rush City monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
