# Ｓcanner App vs Document Scanner

The clearest difference is rating: Document Scanner at 4.7 against Ｓcanner App's 2.0. Document Scanner also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (325 vs 2). Ｓcanner App's advantage is update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ｓcanner App sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Document Scanner sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Document Scanner holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Document Scanner has 325 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Ｓcanner App ships an update every 5 weeks, Document Scanner every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
