# WorkTime vs Hourly

The clearest difference is ads: Hourly at none against WorkTime's shown. WorkTime's advantage is ratings volume (637 vs 8) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WorkTime sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Hourly sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for WorkTime against 4.8 for Hourly. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WorkTime has 637 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two.

WorkTime ships an update every 2 weeks, Hourly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
