# WorkTime vs Hours Tracker

The clearest difference is ads: Hours Tracker at none against WorkTime's shown. Hours Tracker also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 weeks). WorkTime's advantage is ratings volume (620 vs 12) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.6). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WorkTime sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Hours Tracker sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for WorkTime against 4.7 for Hours Tracker. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WorkTime has 620 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 64% of WorkTime's written reviews are positive against 67% of Hours Tracker's.

WorkTime ships an update every 2 weeks, Hours Tracker every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
