# Stardust Period Tracker vs Closer

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Closer at 100% against Stardust Period Tracker's 55%. Closer also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 21) and ads (none vs shown). Stardust Period Tracker's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 1.0) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 4 months). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Stardust Period Tracker sells 20 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Closer asks for nothing beyond the download.

Stardust Period Tracker holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Stardust Period Tracker has 120K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of Stardust Period Tracker's written reviews are positive against 100% of Closer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Stardust Period Tracker ships an update fortnightly, Closer every 4 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
