# ySense vs AI Summary

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: ySense at none against AI Summary's 3. ySense also leads on review sentiment (18% vs 0%) and ratings volume (87 vs 4). AI Summary's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AI Summary sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. ySense asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 3.0 for ySense against 3.0 for AI Summary. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ySense has 87 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 18% of ySense's written reviews are positive against 0% of AI Summary's.

ySense ships an update every 5 months, AI Summary every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
