# Sunwarrior vs Don Saladino

The clearest difference is ads: Don Saladino at none against Sunwarrior's shown. Don Saladino also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (80% vs 58%). Sunwarrior's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.6) and ratings volume (496 vs 17). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Sunwarrior holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sunwarrior has 496 ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of Sunwarrior's written reviews are positive against 80% of Don Saladino's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Sunwarrior ships an update every 6 weeks, Don Saladino every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
