# TaskWatch vs FreedomPop

The clearest difference is rating: TaskWatch at 5.0 against FreedomPop's 1.5. TaskWatch also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and iOS requirement (13.2 vs 16.4). FreedomPop's advantage is ratings volume (69 vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

TaskWatch holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FreedomPop has 69 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

TaskWatch ships an update monthly, FreedomPop every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
