# Vestaboard vs leiput

The clearest difference is rating: Vestaboard at 4.6 against leiput's 1.0. Vestaboard also leads on ratings volume (140 vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 6 months). leiput's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Vestaboard holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Vestaboard has 140 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Vestaboard ships an update every 2 months, leiput every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
