# Get Tan vs UV Timer

The clearest difference is update cadence: UV Timer at every 3 days against Get Tan's every 2 weeks. Get Tan's advantage is iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Get Tan sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and UV Timer sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Get Tan ships an update every 2 weeks, UV Timer every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
