# Exam.net vs SchoolSoft Elev

The clearest difference is rating: SchoolSoft Elev at 4.0 against Exam.net's 1.4. SchoolSoft Elev also leads on update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 4 months). Exam.net's advantage is review sentiment (12% vs 0%) and ratings volume (24 vs 4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SchoolSoft Elev holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 1.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Exam.net has 24 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 12% of Exam.net's written reviews are positive against 0% of SchoolSoft Elev's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Exam.net ships an update every 4 months, SchoolSoft Elev every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
