# Printer 3D vs Twisty Rails

The clearest difference is rating: Twisty Rails at 4.7 against Printer 3D's 3.0. Twisty Rails also leads on ratings volume (13K vs 2). Printer 3D's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 10 days). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Printer 3D sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Twisty Rails sells 18 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Twisty Rails holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Twisty Rails has 13K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Printer 3D ships an update every 2 days, Twisty Rails every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
