# Tessie vs Electric Mods

The clearest difference is rating: Tessie at 4.8 against Electric Mods's 4.2. Tessie also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 6 weeks) and ratings volume (9.7K vs 218). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tessie sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Electric Mods sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tessie holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tessie has 9.7K ratings behind it against 218, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of Tessie's written reviews are positive against 72% of Electric Mods's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Tessie ships an update weekly, Electric Mods every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
