# STEPPI vs Talktime

The clearest difference is rating: Talktime at 5.0 against STEPPI's 4.4. Talktime also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). STEPPI's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (130 vs 2). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Talktime holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: STEPPI has 130 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

STEPPI ships an update weekly, Talktime every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
