# iTranslate Keyboard vs Translator

The clearest difference is rating: Translator at 4.5 against iTranslate Keyboard's 3.2. Translator also leads on review sentiment (56% vs 24%) and ratings volume (1.6K vs 106). iTranslate Keyboard's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iTranslate Keyboard sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Translator sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Translator holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Translator has 1.6K ratings behind it against 106, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 24% of iTranslate Keyboard's written reviews are positive against 56% of Translator's.

iTranslate Keyboard ships an update every 3 weeks, Translator every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
