# Study Notes ABA vs ABA Mastery

The clearest difference is monetization model: ABA Mastery at freemium against Study Notes ABA's subscription. ABA Mastery also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 5 weeks). Study Notes ABA's advantage is ratings volume (3.6K vs 2). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Study Notes ABA sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and ABA Mastery sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Study Notes ABA against 5.0 for ABA Mastery. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Study Notes ABA has 3.6K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Study Notes ABA ships an update every 5 weeks, ABA Mastery every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
