# RAW Experience vs Pro Camera RAW

The clearest difference is review sentiment: RAW Experience at 100% against Pro Camera RAW's 53%. RAW Experience also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 18.0). Pro Camera RAW's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 15 months) and ratings volume (681 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RAW Experience sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Pro Camera RAW sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

RAW Experience holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pro Camera RAW has 681 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of RAW Experience's written reviews are positive against 53% of Pro Camera RAW's.

RAW Experience ships an update every 15 months, Pro Camera RAW every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
