# A/C Pro vs BimmerRefs

The clearest difference is price: A/C Pro at Free against BimmerRefs's $3.99. A/C Pro also leads on ratings volume (293 vs 7) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.6). BimmerRefs's advantage is rating (3.9 vs 2.1) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 4 months). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

A/C Pro is free to download; BimmerRefs costs $3.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BimmerRefs holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 2.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: A/C Pro has 293 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 27% of A/C Pro's written reviews are positive against 57% of BimmerRefs's.

A/C Pro ships an update every 4 months, BimmerRefs every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
