# Viya vs Soapy Splash

The clearest difference is monetization model: Soapy Splash at free against Viya's free with in-app purchases. Soapy Splash also leads on review sentiment (50% vs 30%) and update cadence (every 11 days vs every 6 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Viya ships an update every 6 weeks, Soapy Splash every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
