# Perigold vs Discover.Market

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Perigold at 8K against Discover.Market's 6. Perigold also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). Discover.Market's advantage is monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (16.4 vs 18.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Perigold against 5.0 for Discover.Market. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Perigold has 8K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 82% of Perigold's written reviews are positive against 75% of Discover.Market's.

Perigold ships an update weekly, Discover.Market every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
