# Perigold vs Sugarlips

The clearest difference is update cadence: Perigold at weekly against Sugarlips's every 6 weeks. Perigold also leads on ratings volume (8K vs 1). Sugarlips's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (16.4 vs 18.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Perigold against 5.0 for Sugarlips. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Perigold has 8K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Perigold ships an update weekly, Sugarlips every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
