# Friendly Wagers vs Bracketology

The clearest difference is rating: Friendly Wagers at 5.0 against Bracketology's 4.0. Friendly Wagers also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Bracketology's advantage is ratings volume (182 vs 3) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Friendly Wagers sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Bracketology sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Friendly Wagers holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bracketology has 182 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Friendly Wagers ships an update weekly, Bracketology fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
