# Magic Eraser vs AI Remove

The clearest difference is rating: AI Remove at 4.6 against Magic Eraser's 4.0. Magic Eraser's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 weeks) and iOS requirement (10.3 vs 14.0). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Magic Eraser sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and AI Remove sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AI Remove holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 255 and 112 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of Magic Eraser's written reviews are positive against 59% of AI Remove's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Magic Eraser ships an update every 4 days, AI Remove every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
