# Easy Notebook vs Writer

The clearest difference is rating: Writer at 5.0 against Easy Notebook's 4.4. Writer also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 6 days vs every 3 months). Easy Notebook's advantage is ratings volume (137 vs 1) and monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs paid). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Easy Notebook sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Writer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Writer holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Easy Notebook has 137 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 38% of Easy Notebook's written reviews are positive against 50% of Writer's.

Easy Notebook ships an update every 3 months, Writer every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
