# Easy Notebook vs Motes

The clearest difference is rating: Easy Notebook at 4.4 against Motes's 3.0. Easy Notebook also leads on ratings volume (137 vs 1). Motes's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (67% vs 38%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Easy Notebook sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Motes sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Easy Notebook holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Easy Notebook has 137 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 38% of Easy Notebook's written reviews are positive against 67% of Motes's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Easy Notebook ships an update every 3 months, Motes monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and September 22, 2026 respectively.
